Trying to diagnose my ETA 2824-2 that skips when I wind it, which I assume is a common problem since everyone talks about winding problems with this movement. Time to order some parts, clean, lube, and reassemble. Wish me luck, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing! 😎

I disassembled and reassembled an ST36 mechanical watch movement for the first time today. I’m hoping that I can get good enough at this that I can clean and repair my own watches someday soon. Until then I’ll keep practicing on cheap and broken movements.

I don’t know man, for a couple years now I’ve been asking AI systems to generate images of “a cat surrounded by fine cuts of meat” in a variety of settings, and I think the results speak for themselves.

It’s a Christmas gift for my son so I’m not going to open it, but I grabbed one.

I got my hands on an Anbernic RG Cube XX to use as a dedicated Pico-8 console. Using MuOS’ “Load Last Game” feature it boots directly into Splore, and I was able to find a very appropriate theme as well. Turned out great, and if you haven’t tried Pico-8 you’re doing yourself a disservice.

Any chance we could get an option to have posts in our Saved Feeds mixed in with Following, kinda like the Bluesky app has?

Almost finished printing and assembling the RetroDeck, a MiSTer-based retro PC enclosure. Fun stuff, bringing together a handful of my interests (not keyboards), and if I’m lucky someday I’ll probably have time to actually use it.

Never before and never again will I score this high on Tetris DX. I’m actually afraid to unpause the game because I’ll probably mess it up. I’ll just never play this cartridge again and hope that the battery holds.

Disappointed to find that my new @modretro.bsky.social Chromatic doesn’t work with my Everdrive-GB x7. All I see is a white screen. All firmware is up to date on both devices. Anyone else seeing this or similar problems?
