Finally, back to creating. I wanted to expand my range of values in this sketch. I tend to gravitate toward the mid tones, and I want that to change. It was a good exercise. The other photos are of my new sketchbook case from @dava22, on IG. I really love it!

I got the Natsume brass palette for Christmas and was debating what paints to include. The artist who is mentoring me introduced me to A. Gallo paints, handmade in Italy. I caved, but I’m not mad about it. 😁😁

Project: 1 tiny sketch for each day of January. Each is 2”x2” and must be completed in 10 minutes. Structures are affected by the time constraints. I need more practice and to find ways to better simplify. Here are days 9 and 10.
