Retired writer. I’ve had long Covid since 2022. Apparently old AF. RESIST dammit
I have this odd desire to see a version of Frosty the Snowman where, at the end, a bunch of Nazis come in carrying the Ark of the Covenant and the kids run off screaming, and then they open the Ark and the fun really begins

When children ask in coming years of their parents what they did during this horrible time to resist and overthrough this authoritarian idiot, at least Jimmy Fallon’s kids will know that daddy giggled through all of it

Yes, Charlie Kirk called for President Biden to be imprisoned and put to death, but he was so well-groomed when he said it so ...
1/2. Charlie Kirk frequently called for other people to be killed.

Remember that time when Charlie Kirk called for Joe Biden to be executed? I do.

He didn't even bother to posit any particular crime.

A friend of mine was on Charlie Kirk's "watch list" of Black professors. She received so many death and rape threats that her university offered her a security detail for the walk to class.

This is Kirk's legacy.

You would never know it from reading all of these legacy newspaper op-eds about him.

man they really didn't give a shit about that guy. as soon as it was clear they couldn't use his death to launch a purge they started to treat it like a nothingburger
Q: My condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie Kirk. How are you holding up?

TRUMP: I think very good. And by the way, right there you see all the trucks. They just started construction of the new ballroom for the White House, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years.

Between the weaving and lurching, the dazed and confused behavior, and the way my bed covers look after I get up in the morning, you’d think I was having way more fun than I am

I had a remarkably pleasant text conversation this morning with the lady buying my groceries at Costco. She thanked me, I thanked her we chatted some. It’s possible I promised to babysit for her, but it was worth it for some human connection.

RIP Peter David. Incredibly prolific writer of sci-fi, Marvel, Star Trek, etc. Under appreciated and too soon

This morning I stumbled into a wall because of my wacky gait, but didn’t spill a drop of my coffee. Feels like a sign but I’m not sure of what.
