Of course. So when we see an uptick in deaths from overdoses, they can justify whatever insane program cut or military response they decide on. Likely some combination of both.

Doge is a red herring. Always was. Of course they haven't done anything they said they were going to do. They were lying. They're just sewing distrust in the government so they can further erode federal regulation, services, etc... They've been pretty successful it seems like, so far.

Not nearly that long for me, but you gotta start somewhere. I cancelled my prime. First time in probably 15 years I haven't had that. Feels good.

They just want more bodies for the prison industrial complex to harvest. Because that's where they'll end up after we take away healthcare, retirement, education, and everything else they're planning to.

To quote Little Miss Sunshine...(to be fair I like podcasts, but not just anyone can do them...)

I might argue with the four wheel family bike concept. In practice, with current cycling infrastructure, they're more menace than useful. My experience is mostly in Chicago, where they ride the lakefront path, taking up way more space and riding like there's no one else trying to use the path.

Because you have excellent taste. :)

I didn't like it much either. How could they kill off his dad???? At Christmas??? The others are just more childhood stories. Ollie Hopnoodles is my favorite of those- about a family trip to a lake. Young Jerry O'Connell plays Ralph.

Mainly the book is "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash"

Short stories. The Xmas story movie is a conglomeration of a bunch of stories. The turkey in the movie was originally a story about an easter ham.

(There are also more movies but they are VERY hard to get ahold of. Phantom of the Open Hearth, Ollie Hopnoodles Haven of Bliss)

To stay on topic, have you read the books that the movie was based on? They're excellent.

Ovaltine? A crummy commercial? Son of a b... :)

Given his management style, my guess is that just hurts Tesla more.

They should do Gran Turismo plus trumpet. Would add an additional level of challenge to drive with the trumpet playing behind you.

Under a blanket with hot chocolate recreates the experience of spring baseball in Chicago pretty well.

Who is playing Need for Speed while playing the trumpet? Max or Tanee?

Improve a first line by substituting Mrs. Dalloway.

Not sure this is an improvement...

Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendia was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover Mrs. Dalloway.

Pretty darn close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. NOT in the fight against fascism. Pretty darn close might as well be "was too chickenshit to take a real stand."

Yay, same!!!
March 17, 2025 at 2:56 PM
Yeah, same. Where the bottom is, no one knows. Surely the courts or someone will have to stand up to him eventually. But what will be left by the time that happens...

I am! Or at least seeing if it's possible. I assume you'd know since the ancestor I'd be banking on is the same as Linda's. I keep getting offers from a company to help and I'm finally like, you know, maybe it's time to figure out an exit strategy...

Seems to get worse every day. :(
March 10, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Well, I guess we're already eating sh!t. Might as well make us drink it, too.
March 4, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Doomed on all fronts. This administration gets worse by the minute.

Getting hard to write satire these days that doesn't just sound like actual news, though, I bet.
