As a 3rd year 20-year old, Swain is a bit forgotten when discussing upside bets in this class.
Definitely a shooting-coach project, but not a hopeless one. Swain has switchblade tools that are hard to find, and I would not be stunned to finish with a T30 grade on him.

MCJ, with his lack of easy buckets ever, is unlikely to get enough NBA interest to sacrifice NIL and declare this year.
But I’ll just say that he moves like an NBA player, defends hard, makes FTs, and his ATO at high usg is > 3.
Fine switchblade swing in 2nd imo

One extended pocket, one jump transition, both on money.
Neo is at nearly 30 ast% with a 3-1 (!!) ATO.
freshman 6’6 and above with 25 ast% and 2-1:
(Cam Boozer)
Cooper Flagg
Lonzo
Neo
Shoutout Amani Hansberry as well. Hokies can play @bgeisinger.bsky.social

Not the most deserted island, but Veesaar consistently engages on these, handsy without fouling (much).
We like HV.

This TO occurs because Caleb wants to start driving too quickly and his feet are cheating inside arc.
It’s an extreme example, but Caleb struggles to even look at the rim OTD from 3.
Needs to change. Amen Thompson can get away with that. CW cannot quite.

Very encouraging to see HV make this look easy. Dominance scoring from anywhere matters.

Haugh is not perfect but he is so fun. Starts this possession under the basket boxing out, and turns pass into live-dribble to keep driving while defense is on heels (and while Boozer is jogging back). FTs.
I wish he shot it better but this is an NBA mindset.

Iso dribbles go nowhere, as they have frequently this year with iffy burst.
Good solid screen creates short roll, good touch pass -> foul.
Cam’s relationship to space remains one of his knottier questions as a top prospect @bgeisinger.bsky.social

First, good:
-3 deflections in slower halfcourt sets. v good hands/anticipation.
Then, bad:
-4 transition/semi transition dunks surrendered, + 2 fouls. Cam late or in no man’s land.
Speed of game matters. Cam must engage early/often on D.

Pop time is noticeable on both. He is up very quickly, and the foul is in part due to it.

Richie was likely draftable last year. Has a shot at 90 made 30s this year, active defensively. Very solid 2nd round prospect even at 24 yo.

1. Pokes entry pass, recovers for backside block on move
2. Thwarts 3 (!!) transition attempts while backpedaling, never close to fouling
3. Poke entry + dunk
This kind of hand talent is *wild.* IK needs an NBA contract. Shortly.

He looks to pass out of drives a bit more than necessary, but having liquid arms in chaos moments is quite useful. Lovely touch-oop.

Tracking for a 3:1 A:TO over his last two college seasons. You can see why.

Kamardine’s blistering start (59% from midrange, 66% from inside the arc) surely will not sustain. But you can see the ease with which he can get his shot off using length and pace.
Fascinating player. More to come.

Montgomery is averaging nearly 3 steals per game, and in two HM matchups, shot 11/14 from 2. 10 made 3s thus far.
Still a ways away (core strength/handle) tools are there.

Great reactivity to pick this pass, great athleticism to hustle the ball up the floor, and pretty decent lob considering…he lost his handle mid-stride.
4th handle gaffe of 1H v Marquette. An NBA player if he can tighten up imo.

Hansen’s upside is tied to his confidence in putting ball on deck. Those are some guard-style hesis and patience.
Obviously would add a layer to his passing talent. I hedged earlier optimism and had him in 20s. Semi-regret.

You rarely see recovery blocks with this much disdain. The defender is usually trying too hard to make sure they make the play.
Adou seems insulted that Lanier believes he has him beat.
Top 5 athlete in the draft (not 5 etc).

Drives into two with little plan, no call, bruises.
Gets up, sprints crosscourt for contest, stays in play and gets board. Coast to coast, straight into defender, gets call, bruises for everyone.
Adou does not play with much craft, but speed kills, baby.

Flashing middle + driving, winning a rebound in outer space, manic transition push, screen + dive.
This is Dort/Suggs level crashball. Not sure I’ve ever seen 5 straight whistles. Adog.
