As an artist (still a novice) I think tracing can help learn how to draw a character for the first time, like if your tracing an official render/model, I think it’s perfectly ok as long as the artist admits it. If it’s fan art, that’s not acceptable, but I’m uneducated, so I could be wrong, but idk.

I like how cartoony it looks, it’s definitely pretty adorable to look at! ^^
