While I doubt every single person on my list will make it into TCM Remembers, there's still a high chance this year's video will be the first to feature 100 or more people. Last year's video had 97 while 2023's had 96, and I don't see many of the 101 currently predicted *not* making it in.

Now that Dems caved and made the whole shutdown pointless, the blame will essentially be shared by both parties, but Dems are solely responsible for its failure. They had the momentum and the leverage and the support and they squandered it all... but then I guess that's what Dems do best.

Before the shutdown was solely on the Republicans because Dems were fighting for our healthcare. Republicans could have prevented or ended the shutdown any time by either A.) relenting and agreeing to extend ACA subsidies, or B.) ramming through their "clean" CR without needing a single Dem vote.
