Got it, and thanks for tolerating randoms on the internet asking you to do more work to satisfy one more "and what about this" curiosity 😂

Do you have the numbers for this plot when Rats are not cast? That would help show how much of these win rates are simply due to the opponent mulling. (Though not exactly; you'd have to do something more careful to actually isolate mulling vs. having cast a couple cheap cards.)

I know you said no data, but here's one number: with your MH3 deck you cast Chrysalis on average on turn 3.6 (except for the trophy game where you somehow didn't draw a single Chrysalis in the top half of your deck and still won easily).

It's set-dependent, but I think there have been several sets where @chordocalls.bsky.social has said "just draft the good cards", usually early on before the masses catch on. Of course, Chord is more than familiar with how and when to do the opposite: limitedlevelups.blogspot.com/2019/09/how-...

This is such a great article. It got me into playing the deck a ton -- and I don't usually play much Constructed -- and I've been relying on it heavily the past couple weeks. Really appreciate not just the specific advice but strategy explanations which help improve as a player.

Lightshell Duo was blue's ~3rd best common and had a medium win rate in BLB where it only really went in one archetype, and that archetype didn't see widespread success until the latter half of the set. So maybe its success is for real in a low-powered set where it belongs in all blue decks?
