If you have the coins, this Lancer could kill anyone you desire...

A #LancerRPG version of my OC Zullu, with her little NHP Drone and, for the first time in a good while, her Mech!

Yet again, this was supposed to be a doodle, buuut... well, here we are.

Sketch of my original character, Zullu May Landrean, as my playable character for a tabletop game "LancerRPG", alongside her mech "The Ogre". It's one of the my first few attempts in drawing mechs. I liked how it turned out in this attempt, I think I got a nice "flow" to it. I'm still afraid of rendering it, though... I think I need to improve my shading further before trying it out. Two versions of the mech, one containing only it's "Inner Frame", showing off what goes under all of the equipment and armor. I took inspiration from the Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans' "Gundam Frames", especially on the area around the torso and hip. As a punch bot, I wanted to give emphasis to the arms on this design, so I made them longer and added these cylinders to add more "bulk" to the shoulder area. For the design features, those aforementioned cylinders acts like Secondary Generators, and the green bits on the frame represents the areas where the mech's energy flows through. A neat detail, inspired by yet another Gundam Series: Mobile Suit Gundam 00. There isn't much to say about the armored version of the mech. Just thought of things that I thought it would be cool and added to it's design. It's red, it's supposed to look bulky and mean. I didn't had much of a motiff for the armor, I basically just slapped what I thought it would be cool and ran with it. The only major thing to mention is the "blade". It's supposed to represent the LancerRPG's weapon "Claíomh Solais", which is a gauntlet that can emit "Rainbow colored blade" to kill things. I love how bulky it looks. Not much changed from her original design, I just changed a few colors to make them a bit more muted. The spider thing on Zullu's shoulder is "one" of her companion, a "Non-Human Person", a sentient computer like being taking form of a silly drone, it's name? "SYBIL-CLASS NHP 'Evolt'." In Lore, Zullu isn't a good pilot. She likes making her mech punch, but struggle on the more technical parts like digital warfare. Evolt is there to cover those weakness, allowing her to wreck havoc while he do the nerdy stuff. I like how her face turned out. I just realized she looks like she has a mullet...

A mech design commission for a #LancerRPG homebrew addon: Gate-Sec's field guide to Penrose.

Meet Acheron, IPS-N's brand new mech, with a giant ship's hull for a shield, a war horn, and a big ass sword.

And stompy boots.
IPS-N Acheron is a homebrew mech from "Gate-Sec's Field Guide to Penrose", which is a custom module for the TabletopRPG "LancerRPG", a game about players piloting big ass mechs and kicking some serious ass... or getting their asses kicked. Acheron is a Defender type mech, designed to be resilent without compromising it's offensive capabilities. It's a mech that goads enemies into attacking it rather than it's allies through the war horn on it's shoulder, using it's durability to sustain the incoming pressures, using it's massive shield to form a defensive perimeter for it and it's allies. It also comes with a three-part sword, Kriegmesser, that has the ability to switch between three different forms to suit the pilot, ranging from agile and accurate weak "Einhander", or to a massive blade with intense destructive power, the "Dreihander". This, is a mech for those who want an efficient duelist, a powerful guardian that can bite. it's brutally simple... With many different ways to build it to the player's needs. Though a defender, it's more than capable of being an offensive power house, or even a supportive frame. While that's true for any mech in Lancer, Acheron just feels right no matter what.

You know, thinking in layouts for comic pages is... quite the challenge!

I've been researching on how to do them, and wow, the many stylistic things you can do with the panels is kind of overwhelming...

...but fun!

I'm enjoying working on this draft, hopefully I'll have something to show soon.

So my #Battletech obsession continues and now I decided to try making my own interpretation of the battlemech Highlander so I can use it for #LancerRPG.

What a weird crossover...

Uh, here is a doodle that came as a result from my insanity.
A doodle of HGN-732 Highlander from Battletech, if it were constructed in Lancer setting. Or some may say, "Chubber Bunner version". This Highlander has much more range of articulation, allowing to be moved like a person. Also sport a different proportion to be more "Comic" like. Other than that, it retains lots of features that makes the original Highlander what it is: Gauss Rifle on the right arm, medium laser arrays and LRMs on the side torsos, and SRM6 on the left arm for close quarter combats, oh, and let's not forget the mech's ability to jump/fly to the sky and SMASH smaller frames with it's sheer weight of 90 tons. In Lancer, a friend of mine helped me make LL12 build to represent the Highlander, using a few homebrew additions. The end result is a Size 2 mech that can fly while boosting, abuses the overcharge mechanic to gain more actions per turn and is capable to Barrage with three out of four weapon mounts instead of two, thanks to a crazy trait from a homebrew system. In the end, I'm happy with this doodle, and it may have sparked a desire to draw more mechs in the future... at least simple ones like this. It's fun!

Part of me wants to try drawing a mech from Battletech/Mechwarrior, 'cuz I love that franchise. A lot.

But man, just thinking of drawing mechs send me shivers down my spine, they look so daunting to draw!

I might need to do some research in how to tackle this...
