Yes! I saw Rafi not too long ago in Asheville. He owns a resale clothing store that he's rebuilding bc of the massive flood last year

I read it while staying at my parents' house while my dad was in the hospital. It was one of a handful of books & the only good one there. A lot of intense memories for me w it & certainly a deeply lonely novel. Read a lot more of him after that

It's a lot more complicated than that. There's only so much time. Age matters. What other type of work one has to do to make money etc

Agree. Donna Jean is amazing. Love her voice and her life-filled, light-filled joyful energy

I think this is a category mistake. She is not one of the worst technical drummers. She is one of the best technical drummers with purposefully limited technique

Are you waiting for the general public opening or joining as a founding musician? What shapes your decision? I'm contemplating this question for myself - and even whether or not to join at all

So much to say about this but too few care. My dad told me about eye witness observations in the 80s. He worked in petrochems. I took Env Sci classes in the 2010s & knew that the pollyanna curriculum was sus. Easy to infer from facts. Had to correct the prof's spelling of "imminent [sic] domain" LOL

This is so true. I've been saying this for a long time and few seem to care. It's such a long-winding, complex topic because it involves the resurgence of vinyl and reemergence of corporate control over 'underground music' + of course people who don't understand think it sounds crack pot to say so
