So I am intrigued : I have read ‘indignity’ and wouldn’t have thought of ‘Aufrecht’ as the translation. Very curious to hear your reasons. Loved it!

I also enjoyed this. I imagine one way to look at this might be to resuscitate the habit of reading aloud. Presumably, that is what early philosophers did and what taught youg aspiring ones how to read? in the age of mass education, we simply don’t encourage proclamation and oratorio any more.
