The struggle of finding a job that pays well but the hours are so unpredictable that it prevents you from living the rest of your life how you want. I feel like I can't complain and yet I'm not exactly happy either.

It really can’t be emphasized enough: reposts help a LOT. They are genuine, REAL support. This isn’t Twitter, where links out, images, and self-promo get buried. Word-of-mouth matters here, it makes a genuine difference.

Just when I get close to having the time (and buffer) to start getting my comic updating again, the editing devil on my shoulder starts whispering, "you should add in another page back there to clarify that story beat..."

hey here's something I would love us all to do like RIGHT NOW: find out if your local library is doing any kind of pride programming or display, and if they are, email them to say thank you and why it matters to you. whether or not you're queer. especially if you're in an area where it's fraught

I just found almost a year’s worth of comments I hadn’t seen because they don’t notify creators. Also every year it unlikes ALL of the comments on my end.

Last year, an author mentioned my shop on her substack. It changed my income so drastically that this is the spike of orders from that *one* mention last year. Word of mouth for an artist can change everything.
