More in the Alt Text but seriously, seeing Big Mouse Company lean fully into slop pisses me off so much, people actually want to work. In Trinidad people are chomping at the bit to make art and create their own series and all these soca stars want to use AI for the video covers. Fuck no, No to AI
Seeing a company as big as Disney show outright they're love for generative AI in the creative sector pisses me the fuck off to no end. It literally steals people's art and tries to sell it off as "Here mister, I made this image based off of the prompts you gave me" like that makes sense. Yeah artists reference but they put they're own spin, they add that human touch to it. That nuance is needed in creating art otherwise everybody will be making the same exact slop and everyone will not be entertained. Now I like anime, I like Shounen anime and most are derivative of each other but at least each one tries something unique and different with what they are trying to do and the message they are trying to portray. Look at DanDaDan, one of the most unique, weird and different anime I've seen recently that dares to pay respect to those who have come before whilst doing their own thing at the same time. Also there are so many artists out there looking for work, willing to work even for free on any project. I've worked with some of them and they are great. Making art is hard but it's beautiful, there is a meaning in the struggle and if you can't see that then quite frankly, don't try to create. Just leave it to the artists. Art by Katelun Brewster

After some feedback at the pitch, we decided to tone down the musculature of Gil a bit to more fit in line with his age, looking at back it was kind of hard to distinguish that he's 13, at least now you can see it better. Some before and after for you guys.

Here we go, if you didn't know, we referenced different poses from Soul Eater that Maka does when she leaps on to attack. Soul Eater is one of my faves and an inspiration for me in regards to Ea's moves and personality.

It's #IndieAnimationDay and we'd like to take the time out today to celebrate by highlighting one of our main characters, Son Goku with his Nyoi Bo. His ability is to use it to bash in the heads of his opponents but it's main usage is coming in to use with his Kinto Un, a mechanical cloud that he uses to strike down his foes with lightning blasts from it. There's a move that he uses call Strike where he condenses that cloud into billiard balls and obliterates his foes when he strikes them with them. Her favorite is her Crimson Scythe which she uses to take down her foes with mighty force. She also has an ability called Theresa's Chord that allows her to manipulate people's cell granting her the power to heal people. What do you think of this artwork? Description is in the alt text but tl;dr, we're currently in talks to get the series on streaming services and local channels down here in Trinidad. Small steps first, we look there and then head to the Caribbean.
After the release of the prologue, I've been gathering my bearings thinking what should I do next, do I go the corporate route and look for sponsors or try crowd funding. Right now, I'm just looking and meeting with people to try and figure out the best route possible for us. One where we get to keep our full creative control of the series. It's a hard ask but not impossible, look at shows like the Amazing Digital Circus and Helluva Boss. Below here for #indieanimationday we've left a small snippet of our animated prologue. The beginning to be specific, a lot of love and hard work went into making it and when I watched the mixed and mastered version, I nearly cried.

Another special art that I really that we did for an Indie Animation Day a while back, we are strongly against the use of AI in the creative fields. It lacks any of the humanity needed to make art and just throws back the exact same art that people have done over the years.
