"Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough."
- FDR
On the anniversary of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s passing, we reflect on the legacy of a leader who met crisis with courage & clarity.

As he reminded us: "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today. Let us move forward with strong and active faith."

From Opinion

“Politicians are allowed to criticize the press,” writes the editorial board. “But there is a difference between using language and using muscle.” The Trump administration “is mustering the arms of government to suppress speech it doesn’t like and compel words and ideas it prefers.”

This.
Any four Republican Senators could stop this at any time simply by threatening to block all action (or even caucus with the Democrats) if Trump doesn't make certain concessions. They won't, but that should be a much bigger story than whether the Democrats are doing everything that *they* can.

So far Trump has pissed on the constitution with the executive orders he was in a hurry to sign, started a crypto money scheme, and ousted the NGs top admiral for simply being a woman it seems. Still waiting for him to do something that pertains to grocery prices. At least it’s a pretty day. Sigh.

Did he sign an executive order lowering the price of eggs yet?
