Chronic Ed
@chroniced.bsky.social
Comic and/or story creator of Chronic Pain and the strife from either personal experience or learned from others. (Not a very good artist, so I will attempt to focus more on written stories and skits).
After 25 years of hell, I am free-ish. The blasted dizzy spells from the aspirin (that I took out of desperation to leave her before she made me leave) and my chronic pains from letting her control me, are going to make it bloody hard to find a new career, but at least I'll be allowed to try.

The last picture I have of my boys together. Wakko vanished from the sanctuary not long after this, and Dot about a week later. They were the only ones, besides grandkids, that went out of their way to show me any real affection in that house. I hate her, and I hate myself for staying so long.

Not having to deal with my ex's hatefulness towards me has been awesome, but I still have health issues that keep me from finding a decent job, or a safe one, 😬. Meh, at least I feel better than I have in a long time.

Am in way too much pain to deal with the pups and dogs, but I can't leave them outside in the storm. Anyhoo, been staying at a niece's house, and she's rarely here. Ppp! Been about three weeks since I had to get away from my soon-to-be ex. Still scared I won't survive as I just hurt so damn much.

I may be getting kicked out of my house (But I need to leave even if it's not so), so I'm looking for work. I'm a chronic pain sufferer, so I need something not very physically demanding if at all possible. In the comments I'll list links of things I can sell to help pay for my way.

Made some cheeseburger stuffed buns. Too bad the NSAIDs screwed up my body, as I can only taste a small amount of them, 😫.

I'm rather surprised. Writing it this way is actually not bad. I'll have to try writing within notebook lines more frequently.

I've started adding in the glottalized consonants, as there are enough characters for k', and tz' & ch' can be easily dealt with. However, p' & t' characters will be the most difficult. So I am using a part of t'o for the moment for the t' characters.

Ppp! At the tedious stage of this. Just writing things down as often as I can without writing in the roman script so I can read it later. It's the only way I can think of to find the best syntax rules.

More Tzotzil in Mayan tests. Using the idea that (su) is a blend of (sa) & (u) [D], I took the character (k'an) and wrote it with (u). Also, I tinkered with the concept of writing similar sounds to represent other sounds. Thus (tz'i) spelled (tzi).
"Mu jna' ta k'u jtz'ibaj [mu-j-na ta-k'u-j-tzi-ba]"

Hmm! Trying some things out, and it occurred to me that the first part of the fixes te & ti could be used as short characters for certain words. I'll have to experiment with them, but so far they work quite well for Tzotzil. 🤔🤔🤔

Sweet bean pancakes. I really wanted to make mochi, but I'm just too sore to clean the counter, besides my legs almost gave out in the middle of making these. 😢, oh well, they're still pretty good.

An alphabet I forgot I created for a constructed language I once-upon-a-time created. Matek (sounds like mah-teck).

This alphabet was influenced by both Mayan and Runes.

Ok! I started a list of the half-fixes. I don't think I'll keep "vi" and "u", but the rest are mostly fine. "to" is the only odd one that would work, but definitely not a great idea to keep it. I'll leave it in for the moment, though.

Been watching vids about ferns, and more dreaming again, heh. When I attempted escorting oversize loads I had gone on a few trails in Texas, Missouri, and Illinois, and my most excited find was this Adiantum petatum.
Man, I miss growing ferns, but my health just won't let me care for them any more.

This is how I write it.

Well this is an interesting coincidence. I'll have to see if there are more.
February 10, 2025 at 5:40 AM
Huh! I figured it'd be easy in Tzotzil, but difficult in Cherokee. However, it's not as hard in Cherokee after all.
February 9, 2025 at 8:29 AM
Well that's interesting. The character "su" looks like a combination of "sa" and "u". I wonder how certain the Mayan researchers are that it is "su". 🤔.

The first paragraph of a story in "Of Cabbages and Kings, tales from Zinacantan".

Feel like crap today (pain, dizziness, and depression over how filthy the house is). So here's "Rain Rain go away" that I translated a long time ago into Tzotzil.

A li vo' e! A li vo' e! Batan che'e. Xasut tal ta yan k'ak'al un.

It kind of bothers me that I'll never know just how well this all works for reading/writing Tzotzil, but at least I'm having fun with it.

Anyway, some modifications to some characters and more examples of handling plurals.

Chronic Ed: Just not worth it.
One of the best ways I have to describe how I feel, "Just the act of bending over most times is equivalent to running 200 feet of GRC conduit, and there's no break between runs".
