As funny as this comment is, only the flower gets burnt. The rest of the plant can be used to create things like hempcrete, hemp paper, hemp textiles. Plus, if used medicinally, I'm almost certain cannabis releases less co2 than the alternative pharmaceuticals so it'd still be a win!
