I'm very excited to see everybody, don't be afraid to come hang out or say hi!! Please just understand that if I seem a bit stressed or come off a little short I promise it's not you, there's just so much going on both inside and outside the event that has my attention.

If all you want to do (for now) is redirect it to a Linktree or other existing site, a lot of domain registrars will let you just put that link in and do all the setup for you. I think Cloudflare does this but a bunch of others probably do as well. Happy to look at it later if you want.

(sorry, I spent like an hour trying to figure out how to eloquently word this, but what it comes down to is that I want to see more conversations about all the cool people in our community and all the cool things they're doing and less of those tearing each other and our own selves down)

Once again this is a reflection on a feeling and not about any particular person (or even any server). But I think it's important for us to remember that as we each take what we need from our communities, we need to give back and lift each up other instead of collectively bringing ourselves down.

I know sometimes the Discord chats just feel like friends talking to friends (and trust me, I need my friends now more than ever) but I think it's also important we preserve this rare creative scene we exist in instead of letting negativity take away from it.

Yes absolutely! I know I've talked about this before but meeting and hanging out with you at Sheltercon 4 when I hardly knew anybody else there is a huge part of what made that trip so great.

You don't have to be positive/optimistic/happy about everything all the time.

But if you're always making fun of people, or never supporting the endeavors of your friends, or constantly hating on the things others say they enjoy, then take a moment to reflect on how they might welcome that company.

I think the biggest thing now is that I painted a feature wall in a nice rainforest green -- which I really love, but it's really hard to pair with colored light even in other parts of the room. The bold color looks great, but doesn't really lend itself to the colors you can make with RGB bulbs.

I need to figure out how to tastefully incorporate color into my (not so) new place. I had an okay setup at my last apartment but really haven't had any inspiration for colored lighting since I moved, and I'm not sure what to do without it looking outright tacky.

yeah looks good, as long as the ports aren't facing down otherwise the bits and bytes might fall out and you'd have to pick them up
