Not steamed hams, but turkey burgers with oven roasted brussel sprouts (best way to eat brussel sprouts) and a humpback salmon caviar on buttered Latvian rye bread with egg.

Rice soup (with leftover rice), lettuce, tomatoes, baby potatoes, and oyster mushrooms fried in egg wash, served with tonkatsu sauce. I love mushrooms, especially oyster mushrooms!

After making that tempura mountain, we had a bunch of meals with varying amounts of tempura in them. This tempura udon had a bigger portion of it.

Made a tempura bento for my friend (so much tempura!). Aside from the fried stuff, there's also mixed grain rice, parboiled mangetout, and dipping sauce with some grated mouli in the small container. Not depicted: a ball of miso paste to make into instant soup.

Green salad&radishes with crab stick and carrot-ginger-miso dressing, quick cucumber&radish pickles, smocked tofu braised in gyûdon broth, red miso soup & home-made okonomiyaki with imitation caviar on top (which had okay taste but totally wrong texture so it's a nogo for me from now on. )

Cabbage&carrot douenjang soup, leaf salad&radishes with carrot-miso-ginger dressing and gyūdon (beef bowl) on mixed rice, topped with sushi ginger.
Gyūdon was particularly nice, it's a pain to slice meat that thin at home, but very worth it.

Curry made from base gravy masala (recipe - YT channel "Curries with Bumbi") with plantains, chickpeas, and green peas, topped with creme fraiche, served with some sliced fresh cucumbers and store bought naan (even I don't cook everything from scratch).

Not bibimbap but served a similar way? Quick dinner of store-bought Swedish meatballs, cucumber-radish- dill salad with pickled chanterelles, morkovcha (Soviet-Korean carrots) on bed of buckwheat groats.

This was a quick meal of store bought Swedish meatballs in mushroom sauce with chanterelles and mixed-grains-basmati rice, as well as side salat of lettuce, radishes, tomatoes, topped with homemade morkowcha - lightly pickled carrots Soviet-Korean style.

I did make a lot of hamburg steaks... so for this meal, I reheated them on top of soy seasoned rice in the rice cooker (& served donburi-style). Side dishes were red miso soup (in a cup), lightly salted cabbage with sesame oil and chili flakes, and parboiled broccolini with sesame dressing.

We had some leftover hamburger streaks (from okosama-lunch) that I served donburi-style on mixed grain rice, topped with grated daikon & with a miso soup with wakame and lightly picked cucumbers.

Spouse read "The restaurant of lost recipes" and requested okosama-lunch: hamburger steak with egg, potato fries (home made), buttered broccoli (plus carrot) and "Napolitan" ketchup & tonkatsu sauce spaghetti. And a little flag, of course (very important!)

Wanted to make something like a poke-bowl, but had no access to sashimi grade raw fish.
So we have here seasoned rice (not visible), scrambled egg, radishes, avocado with Yukari furikake, tuna mayo, lightly picked cucumber with roasted sesame seeds, wakame. We poured some soy sauce over it, too.

A kinda ugly (but still delicious!) bibimbap, featuring egg, spicy braised smoked tofu, yellow carrot, cucumber, lettuce, kalette namul, and gochujang on top of rice, with doenjang and bean sprout soup on a side.

Managed to procure some unagi and made not only an unagidon dinner (not pictured), but also an unagidon bento for my friend. Also featuring lightly pickled cucumbers, sesame oil dressed cabbage, and miso soup "concentrate" (in the plastic wrapped ball).

I love unagi donburi ☺️

My idea of quick comfort food: canned mackerel in tomato sauce on top of boiled buckwheat with a dollop of world's probably hottest adzika and kalette namul, Polish instant borscht in a cup. (It's nice to have some light soup with the main meal.)
