Nice surprise this lunchtime in Rufforth. I've never seen a grass snake this big. They look huge when they're all stretched out.

A pair of blue tits sorting their nest kept me entertained for over an hour this lunch time at Rufforth. Lots of yellowhammer and skylarks around. Fly over shellduck was a nice surprise. @yorkbirding.bsky.social
