I've never received a calendar and stickers for being a Walt Disney World annual passholder.

I love it!

I took these screenshots 30 seconds apart from each other. 🤔

(These are my only AirPods.)

How do I convince voice dictation that there is not a scenario where I would ever use “U2” in conversation?

I was confused why my tip jar choices were always appearing in English in my testing.

This explains it.

The language settings on the device aren't the deciding factor.

I've had some good support from the UK for Please Don't Rain even before my talk at Swift Leeds.

Shame on me for not supporting English (UK). Working on fixing that.

This is another example of why I sometimes still use print.

Here it will happily show all of the contents of DayWeather from Apple WeatherKit.

Logger not only won't compile with the same data, but Xcode gives the "unable to type-check" error that doesn't tell you what line the problem is on.

In my talk at Swift Leeds I mentioned that I sometimes still use print instead of Logger because some things can get truncated.

Apple just wrote back to me about this scenario I opened, where it happens to Double latitude/longitude values.

I'm not seeing a category for weather apps in the new web version of the App Store. ☹️

I keep thinking of things to add to my latest blog post.

For example, the subtle hints I was dropping before I announced I was going to be speaking at Swift Leeds.

I did get curious what it was like to sit in the back row of @swiftleeds.co.uk .

Still good seats!

Wow this is weird.

On my iPad if I try to share a @bsky.app post via iMessage I get this bizarre keyboard without a spacebar.

I made it a point to state that my sister drew my artwork for my slides with Procreate. 😎

I was foolish enough to interrupt (and quit) feedback assistant when it was taking forever to upload a 2 1/2 MB file.

Now it won't let me log back in. 🫠

Really weird VoiceOver issue I've hit.

These are each just a Text with an accessibilityLabel for an inline lock screen widget.

ViewThatFits has room for the first one and shows it but VoiceOver reads the label from the SECOND one.

If I comment out the second one it reads the correct text. 😵‍💫

I always let existing Please Don't Rain subscribers keep their existing price even if I've done an increase since.

That makes it easy to spot people that have been supporting the app from the beginning.

This person has and I'm assuming they'll be happy when I release support for Italian very soon.

Wow, Apple just responded to some Xcode feedback of mine that was over 3 years old. I had forgotten I even did this.

Nice to see that issues will still get looked at after that amount of time.

I successfully responded to my App Store rejection by changing my paywall text to the bottom version.

The fact that this paywall has been out for over a month and has previously passed review four times is definitely annoying.

I missed the UK so much that I decided to go back.

TIL that you can easily copy some HTML from a Bluesky post to use it to embed it in your blog.

I'm late to the party but I just used Note's transcription feature for the first time and wow is this handy.

It was so nice to be able to just copy/paste this text from an audio recording.

Just in that tiny sample of their huge amount of watch faces I already spotted several that are the kind I want that I never have been able to get with my Apple Watch. 🫠

The Sketch Note workshop that @felibe444.bsky.social put on at @swiftleeds.co.uk was GREAT.

And I'm not just saying that because I won the Lego set! 😂

Back in my day Plants vs Zombies was a one time purchase with no IAP.
