Schwarzenbach Chardonnay Selection 2021: It's worth visiting the winery in person, for example on an open cellar day. This Chardonnay convinced us immediately. A mineral structure, citrus fruit and a very harmonious finish. In my opinion, the wine should only have a less wood. (90/100 - 16.5/20)

Leoville-Barton 2008: There are certainly more concentrated wines, but that's not needed here; everything is in the right place and, after 17 years, is slowly coming together. Could be a good successor to the brilliant and very classic 1988. (93/100 - 17.5/20)

2020 Domaine Denis Mortet, Mes Cinq Terroire: I love this wine. Garnet red color, lots of red fruit on the nose, cherry, violet, lots of red fruit on the palate with a nice spicy note, pink pepper and very finely integrated tannins. Very long finish. (94/100 - 18/20)

Andreas Unger Chardonnay 2023: I discovered this wine at a wine fair in spring 2024. A straightforward Chardonnay with lots of freshness and, above all, not dominated by wood. Citrus, grapefruit and very mineral. (88/100 - 16/20)
