In a previous life I oversaw social media for a small market TV News station. This was during the shift from message boards to Facebook, & Twitter was brand new. The best advice I got was "We all start with no filter. Some of us mostly outgrow that. Most don't. Accept that & move on."

The words we use matter. I've always wondered where we'd be today if was called "supplemental energy" instead of "alternative energy" or even "renewable energy". I suspect more people would be accepting of it.

I've only been able to watch on AppleTV this season. Regardless of the number of goals scored/allowed, regardless of the result, they're not fun to watch. Yes, there are flashes, but not enough. You're in the entertainment business! Fans will be understanding and forgiving if you ENTERTAIN US!

Only four matches remain and SKC could sneak into the playoffs or finish dead last? I don't know if that should be considered a flaw in the system or not. If MLS had relegation, I suspect more fans would show up/tune in.

This is the stuff that makes watching soccer unbearable for many potential fans. Everytime I see it, I think of Will Ferrell in Kicking & Screaming: "Break someone's clavicle!" Some day, that is how a team is going to react: "You want to fake an injury? I'll give you an injury." And that's not good.
