Nerdy fact but the track timings printed on LPs/CDs tend to include the silence at the end of the song, before the next track begins.

(At least they used to - don't know if that's true today! Definitely did on a lot of old Maiden albums)

For some reason (i.e. IMPQ) I typed this out on 08/09/2025:

Bruce Dickinson – Kenneth Williams
Steve Harris – Sid James
Dave Murray – Charles Hawtrey
Adrian Smith – Kenneth Connor
Janick Gers – Jack Douglas
Nicko McBrain – Bernard Bresslaw
Simon Dawson – Jim Dale
Rod Smallwood – Peter Butterworth

If it had been produced by Monogram, starred Bela Lugosi & Louise Currie, and come in at around sixty minutes then I'd be all over it!😆

Really enjoyed your in-depth introduction to the movie though. Fascinating research!

Great episode - which is more than I can say about the film!

For me, this is the exact point on the timeline where 'trash' horror goes from potential "so bad it's good" to "so bad it's tedious". Still, I only fell asleep for ten minutes, which is good for me where The Boring Dr Franco is concerned!

Let's not forget Simon Dawson's incisive critical edition of Gibbon's "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" (Oxford University Press, 1994).

Never knew about 'Details Of Twilight Zone'. Amazing.

Absolutely infuriating that they've never followed up Solo properly. Love that film!

Remember Tomorrow
Phantom Of The Opera
Strange World
Murders In The Rue Morgue
Purgatory
(bonus: that live version of I've Got The Fire, much better than the original plodding Montrose yowler)

In-depth, lucid, incisive.

Bit slow to get around to the show this week - but I was crying with laughter over your Springsteen bit!

I look forward to you watching and reviewing it on our behalf.

Does this mean we get a double-helping of Play Your Cards Right next time? 🤞🤞🤞🃏

Those men must be in league with the devil. 👍👍👍

I've reached the Play Your Cards Right theme tune and it's now my new favourite Iron Maiden song.

Ah, well. You had a good run.

I hope you don't wear your skimpy union jack undies while sitting next to the regulation Open Windows.

You'd catch your death!

Very nice! (the boot, not Silver & Gold😆)
September 6, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Here's a random question - what's the 7" with the 'Eddie Crunch' design on top of the Can I Play With Madness 12"? A nerdy mind needs to know!

(p.s. great haul but I now have 'Silver & Gold' churning round and round my brain....)

Late to the party, but I've recently bought the box set of The Last Kingdom (on the basis that I can't just keep re-watching Vikings over and over).

Only watched five episodes so far and I'm completely on board already. Can't wait to get home from work and enjoy another episode tonight!

I hope the IMPQ "all opinions are welcome" policy is still in place.

Because I absolutely LOVE "Lightning Strikes Twice".
