Me and the three people who read my skeets.
I haven’t been loving my Sony A7R III since purchasing it and came thiiiiiis close to trading her in this weekend. It’s kinda heavy and full frame lenses exacerbate that problem.
So today I got myself something light and svelte: the 40mm 2.5 G. Totally changes the handling for the better!

The ground floor of the #LEGO Jazz Club is complete! I got this set for Christmas and as it is rainy today in the North Carolina Piedmont, I figured now is the best time to dive in.
This set has three floors, but I’m calling it after one. The tips of my fingers are a little tender at the moment.

I also had my OM-5 with me, which I am still struggling to love, and my Panasonic Leica 9mm Summilux, which I unabashedly love. I primarily use the PanaLeica in my day job, but it was a fun experience going ultra wide in WDW.

Thanks for suffering through my tasteful nudes the other day. And a reward here is a fireworks photo taken at the Magic Kingdom. This was taken with an Olympus EM-1 MkII I had bought on a whim a week before the trip.

All good things must come to an end and wax has a short lifespan on a body in motion. At first I thought the A7R III had suddenly developed a case of dead pixels, but it was falling wax!
We plan to explore this phenomenon further in future sessions.

To the rescue in rides Ridgefield Waxes RS-102 All-Natural Soy Wax! With a melt point of 118-122° it appeared to be ideally suited for creating the consequences we want (lots of texture) and avoiding the consequences we don’t (2nd-degree burns).
And holy shirtballs…it excelled!
