I read them as they were published, but the last few are sitting on my shelf unread, I can't bear to read them.

Given what I've heard about how they film Marvel, he could have done some scenes but have no idea what movie they are for.

Xylem is a good one. It is kind of like plant veins.

I just googled and found a few stories about them causing injury, here's one of them www.independent.co.uk/life-style/c...

I no longer wear those in the car after hearing that in a crash they can become embedded in your skull (no idea if real, but just the thought is bad enough).

The thing stopping me moving to induction is that I've heard they turn off if you move the pan. My in-laws have an electric hob that does that and it is so annoying. Anything other than leaving the pan completely stationary means you have to constantly turn it back on again.

I don't think they even used anything that intelligent. It's just Trump's random neuron firing when it senses an opportunity to look important.

I don't even live in the US and I know you have a hurricane season.

The small corner store on my parent's road has had a complete makeover and everything is different from when I used to go in there with my pocket money to buy sweets. How dare they not keep everything in the same place it was 40 years ago when I was 5. I hate going in there now, it's all wrong.

Is ChatGPT trying to tell us something with that Andy Weir plot? 🤣

I had never heard of ... called an ellipsis until a few years ago and I hate the word ellipses/ellipsis and continue to think of it as 'dot dot dot'.

It is because ellipses is the exact same word as the plural of ellipse, which is an oval. Why is it the same word?

They are saying it's all fraud, everything. There is no way there is not one thing legitimate taking places in those agencies. Therefore they are lying. So I don't believe anything they say about anything.

Help! In his press conference happening now did I misunderstand or did he basically just say he's going to ethnically cleanse Gaza and take it over?? What is going on?

That's exactly what I thought 🤣

I can't even think about that. Reading Terry's books as a teen helped form my whole personality so I don't know what I'd do. Thankfully I don't believe for one second that Pratchett knew.

Well done for trying, keep going. I tried last year, then got COVID/whooping cough/mystery illness in April, and couldn't breathe enough until Aug. Then instantly injured my foot and am just recovering. Here's to 2025 being our year to get walking.

I can't remember the exact quote that I read about this, but it's something like - people who are surprised when unlikely things occur are severely underestimating the total number of things that happen every day.

Every time I see that film being promoted it takes me several seconds to work out that Netflix are not massively proud of gaining the rights to those old films.

😊 I've just entered, I didn't know they had an advent calender. I live half an hour from the South Downs.
