Great question! This is my first year to participate, and I donated a few books. When I looked in the door, I found mostly board books (for toddlers). I'm glad I placed a few picture books on the shelf for those 5-7 year olds. :)

They are! It is fun to open the doors of a LFL and look inside. Then, put new books on the shelf.
