People who think he’s being sarcastic haven’t actually read the manifesto… it’s brilliant and necessary. People’s fear of AI needs a curious reimagining. #ResonantComputing

Post a movie where you’re from… cheating with two because they perfectly encapsulate Calgary - from it’s sprawl to its isolationist centre. And - same director.

The Canadian north is on fire. Making it even more inevitable that can Inuit people along our Arctic coast will suffer the worst of this climate emergency, with rates of warming among the fastest in the world. We need to divest from fossil fuels. But when the AQI is high, we also need to #MaskUp

These Guardian headlines are so incongruent. We need politicians to seize their ability to take collective action. Or we need a sufficiently alarmed community-based response. #ClimateChange is the biggest risk we face - the rest is distraction.

My air is unsafe in #YYC. So I go from wearing a mask indoors to protect from infectious disease to wearing a mask outdoors to protect my lungs from particulates. No wonder everyone’s in flight & flight. We are in danger everywhere.

May 29, 2025 and Calgary, Alberta remains in a heat wave. At risk: humans, animals, plant life. Farmers will continue to experience decreases in crop yields. People without air-conditioning, expels heat in environment and uses fossil fuel energy to run, at risk of high morbidity & mortality. 1/3

On Jeju Island and a local fisherman decided I wasn’t eating enough stew. I’m a lucky little bean.

He did it! He did it! He did it!

WE did it, Confederation. Hooray!
Congrats, @coreyhogan.ca - super proud. What a campaign.
April 29, 2025 at 5:09 AM
@coreyhogan.ca takes the lead!!! Eeeeeek!!
April 29, 2025 at 4:42 AM
FOUR VOTES!
(Did I mention I’m following this from Seoul?)
April 29, 2025 at 4:33 AM
There are only 26 votes between candidates now!!! Crazy.
April 29, 2025 at 4:30 AM
It’s not looking good. Such a narrow margin too. Am disappointed that we couldn’t vote strategically and flip our riding. But we came darn close. And so mad that Global News is reporting this riding with the wrong liberal candidate’s photo!?
April 29, 2025 at 4:25 AM
It makes me sad that people didn’t vote strategically - the lead is so small but if some NDP voters had jumped like I did, we would have flipped for sure.
April 29, 2025 at 3:48 AM
Noooooooooo!! Halfway there and they took a small lead.
April 29, 2025 at 3:41 AM
OMG it’s narrowing. I can’t. But still a lead…
April 29, 2025 at 3:35 AM
It’s a nail biter!
April 29, 2025 at 3:18 AM
I don’t get why they’re predicting a blue sweep of Alberta - my riding is doing great for @coreyhogan.ca so far. Still hopeful!

And meta-analysis “Laboratory studies found changes in pain perception, time perception, conscious state, and neurophysiology. Self-report studies found changes in cognitive processing and mental health. claims that microdosing effects are largely due to expectancy are premature and possibly wrong.”

What if @markcarneyforpm.bsky.social is a Communitarian? This is an argument I saw on Tiktok from a PhD who analyzed his book Values. What he is, or espouses, matches more Communitarian values - people over profit. Which is exactly what we need. vm.tiktok.com/ZMBpn5rRk/

Here in Alberta, the anti-choice ball is already rolling. They circulated a disguised survey last year heralding a death for more restrictions. But if the federal government is on board to prevent access to reproductive freedom, it will certainly make their restrictive policies even easier. 4/4
April 13, 2025 at 2:17 PM
Not only this, but many 🇨🇦 conservatives associate with anti-choice lobbyist groups, even making them promises. Attending rallies. Providing grants. And writing a lot of coded language into their policies. 3/4
April 13, 2025 at 2:17 PM
In fact, all members of Parliament, who are conservative voted for a bill (C311) that was blatantly giving rights to the fetus while purporting to support against acts of violence to pregnant people. Fortunately, the rest of the government saw through the ruse. 2/4
April 13, 2025 at 2:17 PM
If you’re feeling on the fence about the upcoming election in Canada, I wonder if you might consider women’s rights in your decision. The conservatives have claimed they will not touch access to reproductive freedoms, which are legally bound in Canada, but they’ve been trying for a while. 1/4

Really enjoyed seeing @jcyliew.bsky.social at @wordfest.com last night. As a refugee doc who does mental health work, I can’t wait to read #Dandelion. We are so lucky to have Wordfest in Calgary. Now I’ve pivoted back to fiction, it’s like the beat of my heart. Watch these on CBC Canada Reads too!
