We can explain WHY the CPA is important and HOW it can be done to anyone who wants to discuss this.

Sorry to keep going on about this, but its important.

We have been trying to work with the last Gov and this one to hold them to account, but we are being met with silence, which mirrors the abuse we went through all over again.

We are calling for the recommendations of a Child Protection Authority #CPA

The solution to better child protection and safety is to implement the IICSA recommendations, but no one is really joining the dots and talking about this.

Why? It makes no sense.

Yet investing in prevention, education, and systemic reform now will safeguard children, support survivors, and reduce long-term societal costs.

Survivors have waited long enough. It’s time to #ActOnIICSA

Survivors like myself, who contributed to the Inquiry, are deeply frustrated by the Government’s reluctance to confront the true scale of child sexual abuse.

Leaders have dismissed systemic reform as “too costly” or “too vast.”

and survivors to ensure lived experiences informed its findings.

The Inquiry’s £186 million investment reflected the scale of institutional failure survivors endured, but it will be wasted if we do not act on its 20 recommendations.

To date, none have been fully implemented.

Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive, top-level strategy rather than the fragmented approach currently in place.

My work with the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) over eight years allowed me to collaborate with professionals, policymakers

I strongly echo the call for immediate action.

Child abuse is a pandemic—an endemic societal and public health issue that transcends all institutions, including sports, church, military, care homes, entertainment, and education.

No institution is exempt.

This report seeks to shine a light on the many barriers to giving children the help and protection they need when they are abused within their families.

In recent years, very necessary attention has rightly been given to the sexual abuse of children in public institutions, by strangers on the internet & by ‘high profile’ individuals. The uncomfortable truth is that very many children are sexually abused by someone they know well & in their own home.

Panel Chair, Annie Hudson said: The voices and experiences of the 193 children at the heart of this report make very plain that too often we fail to identify and act to protect children from sexual abuse in their families.

It's important that we take proactive action which we have been pushing for for over 2 years now; not just reacting to stories as they are revealed over time, all of the time.

The silencing, the non or inappropriate action, further harms victims and survivors of these crimes. And it has to stop.

By having a child protection authority, mandatory reporting, minister for child protection solely responsible for the above as well as the other recommendations we can start to address the cultural shift that is needed.

You may still have some footage from our last interview together where I spoke about the IICSA recommendations & their imp as a package in addressing child sexual abuse and exploitation from the point of holding institutions to account. Changing culture, laws, policies, processes, & procedures.
