Met Cardew in 1981 when we were both students on an M Mus Theory and Analysis course at King's Coll London. At the time, I had no idea who he was. He was unfailingly modest and courteous. We were all totally shocked when we heard that he had died.

Barely worth responding to, but insane; young people don't have the experience/knowledge to vote, and their parents would in no meaningful sense vote as "the representative of the child" –– they'd just vote in accordance with their own particular prejudice. Personally I'd raised the voting age to 25
