It’s wonderful, and it’s full of cats…….street cats, but they are very tame.

Pretty wild here in Bath (UK) too. All that water springing up from under the ground.

It is a wonderful place and I walk there regularly. I hope that something will soon be done about the lake, though. My 1st pic was taken on Jan 31st, this year, the second a few days ago. I understand that the liner has a leak & hope that it will soon be repaired. All the wildlife has disappeared.

Here’s my mini beast from yesterday, sparkling in the sunshine. It landed right beside me. I think it’s a rose chafer beetle.

So beautiful! Here’s a first wild rose of the season, taken on Tuesday in the car park of the NT’s Tyntesfield, near Bristol. Loads of buds in the hedge, but this was the only bloom that had opened.

On the trail of Thomas Gainsborough, who moved from Suffolk with his family, to become the first occupant of No 17, The Circus, Bath. I recommend The Painter’s Daughters, by Emily Howes. Her debut novel & I loved it. #Bath #libraries #architecture #TheCircus #books

Rare example of a Georgian watchman’s sentry box built c1810 near Norfolk Crescent in Bath. It’s decorated with Doric columns & was inspired by the Monument of Lysicrates in Athens. Grade 2 listed, but who thought a rubbish bin next to it was a good idea? #Bath #architecture #Georgians #history

Happy March! Can’t always follow my advice, but don’t spend too much time listening to the news.
