Absolutely. The problem is, many will soon not know when to use an LLM and when not. You can already see it on social media, where people post unreflected "I've asked Gemini/GPT about this and he said..." for really any question they might have stumbled upon.

#ai companies, media and fans always frame things in a "magic" setting. For obvious reasons.

Recognizing this bias doesn't mean LLMs and ai products are worthless. They are really amazing and great tech.

But they are not, not yet, and imho not soon at all, anything like #agi

So in any case it's not the machine that proofed the maths - since it simply can't, by design - but the human validating it afterwards. And if you closely read Bubeck (who works for OpenAI), at the end he's granting just exactly that.
