This comic right here, which I reread many times because it was just so damn thrilling. And it embodied the best of Spider-Man: outmatched, but resilient and hanging in there because, "with great power..." you know the rest.

God Loves, Man Kills! I remember buying that from Heroes World at the Woodbridge Mall in Jersey. That story resonates more now than it did all those years ago.
