Rewatching Stranger Things from the start before diving into the new season.

It's a prime example of how a good score and/or soundtrack elevates your show or movie to the next level.

Also Vanilla Coke finally in Canada! I'm afraid by this labeling that it will be short lived.

It's Storm Chips season!

Had no idea what to expect when I pressed play on "Heart Eyes," but an hour in and I'm rather enjoying this fun little slasher flick!

Getting one last Summer Bedtime Movie in under the wire. Tonight it's Aykroyd and Hanks in "Dragnet"
September 21, 2025 at 1:48 AM
On the big screen tonight it's Nic Cage in Brian de Palma's "Snake Eyes"
September 14, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Tonight's summer weekend movie (yup, it's still summer!) is "Snatch", which I haven't seen in quite some time.

Maybe Brad Pitt can redeem himself in my books here after that F1 movie abomination.

Call me Nostradamus. Sent this to my bro-in-law before the race start.

Don't think my aunt realized how much work (and math) goes into choosing and installing a projector home theater before asking my help.

She does now! 110" screen is up, projector next in two days. So much quadruple measuring today, I was only doing it once!

Summer weekend movie nights continue with Arnie and co. in "Predator"
August 23, 2025 at 12:03 AM
I guess we're starting weekends on Thursdays now.

Tonight's weekend summer night flick has Michelle Pfeiffer and Jeff Goldblum in John Landis's "Into the Night"
August 22, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Up tonight for the summer weekend movie, it's Johnny 5 in one of my childhood favorites "Short Circuit"
August 16, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Starting the summer weekend movies early tonight with "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension"
August 15, 2025 at 1:52 AM
Tonight's summer weekend flick is Patrick Swayze's "Roadhouse"

15 minutes in and it's exactly the vibe I was looking for this evening.
August 9, 2025 at 12:50 AM
Not the biggest fan of the John Wick movies, so I'm somewhat surprised how much I'm enjoying Ballerina tonight.

Turns out Ana de Armas wrecking riot over everyone she comes across can be a lot of fun.
August 5, 2025 at 12:26 AM
Tonight's movie is Blue Thunder, an underappreciated early 80s action flick with a great little synth score.

More skulking about today.

It seems a family of foxes (aka a skulk) have taken up residence in our backyards this week. Been chasing each other all afternoon.

Halfway thru my first ever watch of "Snakes on a Plane" and having a blast. Came out in 2006 but it has that 90s action flick vibe to it.
May 18, 2025 at 1:05 AM
Keeping the 90s going today with "Cliffhanger" this afternoon, and now playing is Spike Lee's "Crooklyn"
May 11, 2025 at 11:14 PM
I'm half way through tonight's flick "Lake Placid" and uh... how have I not seen this movie before?!

Even "bad" 90s movies are a lot of fun. Beginning to believe that it's the best decade for movies, not the 80s.
May 11, 2025 at 1:12 AM
I guess it's a monster movie night. Next up is the original Godzilla from 1954.
May 10, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Finally got around to watching Alien Romulus tonight. Much better than I was expecting. This movie looks and sounds fantastic.

It's been a while since I did this sort of thing. Forgot how much I enjoyed tinkering with hardware.

I buy a bag each of kettle and chicago mix, and then combine them for a triple-threat bowl of popcorn.
