And is the alternative better?

Watching now... I don't remember them breaking out in song every 5 minutes.

Yeah... I mean I'll keep watching. It wasn't awful, but it did have that Goonies vibe.
The mystery planet is kinda intriguing.

But it really makes me excited for Andor.

This is why editors are so important! I go through this list in my mind constantly!

All Good Things is the best finale of any show (other than Breaking Bad).

When they tell Picard he was always welcome (to the poker game) for some reason I always break down.

Eh, maybe just the superhero part.

I didn't know there was a director's cut. Adding another to the list!

Also: Ultimate cut of BvS is far superior to theatrical cut. Lex Luthor makes much more sense. Jesse Eisenberg was criminally underrated as a modern Lex.

Mark! Would love to get more non-political posts. I think we'd all love some inside-baseball stories of your career. We love you and just want to get past this election.

OMG, thank you for reminding me. This was one that I needed on my "To Watch" list. Glad I didn't see the theatrical cut first.

Also, to Zac Snyder's credit, the 4+ hour Justice League is a masterpiece. The theater (Joss Whedon) release was pretty bad.

Yes, the coaster was a bonus!

Jealous that you got to watch STII for the first time!

Definitely follow up with STIII & IV, then jump to VI. Six is also a damn fine movie.

I see (and respect) what you did there!
December 2, 2024 at 4:26 PM
You clearly were not conversing with Ridley Scott or Zac Snyder.

What an amazing reply.

Is it loneliness? Or is it quiet desperation?

But I think the charm is the hope in the face of derision.

I love it too. Thank you for reminding us how deep it is in its simplicity. It's a masterpiece.

Interesting take on the Beatles, and men, in general. As a fan of much of their music, I do think there are bands that were more revolutionary in their advancement of music (Zeppelin as an example).
Can't argue that the Beatles did more for rock than almost anyone.
Going to have to relisten now.
