So, we've elected Charles Guiteau to the presidency. Great.

"Biden lowered your costs, but wasn't able to make it permanent. So if we let that expire, causing your costs to rise Austin, that's Biden's fault for lowering them in the first place."
Do I have that right? Like, that's his actual argument?

Great, now do housing, childcare, and healthcare, for the median working family and for a minimum wage earner. Time, as opposed to money, isn't necessarily a terrible way to look at this, but food isn't most people's main expense.

Shit. Four albums, not five.

Five different albums? Those are rookie numbers.

Station troops outside US polling stations? Fire on citizens?
Reprisals from dirty politicians is a possibility. That stinks, and maybe we can strengthen protections for service members to try to avoid it. But consequences for issuing clearly illegal orders *must* be a certainty.

I get this, I really do. But no one forced him to be an Admiral, and if he didn't think he could make hard choices, he shouldn't have taken the job. I'm honestly more concerned with the NEXT illegal orders. If he'll fire on the shipwrecked, will he... Send active military to US cities? 1

I mean... Hegseth should obviously go down for this, but I can't bring myself to feel much sympathy for the military officer, who should know better, issuing an obviously illegal order. He should also, at a minimum, be removed.

I read this as Talking Points Menu at first. That would be a great bit if you ever host a catered event.

I suspect he meant electoral cycles, not economic ones. If being perceived as too liberal wasn't an issue in the other cycles, why/how did it suddenly become one in 2024?

Serious question. Are DMs which (I believe) by law should have been on government systems to preserve government records something for which a future congress could issue a subpoena?

Watching from MSP here and... With Gov. Walz, Rep. Omar, and George Floyd... I feel like it's inevitable.

Right. Following the law isn't a concession in budget negotiations, it's a precondition.

Seems like Ted Cruz ought to know who was president in 2018.

Following the law isn't a concession in budget negotiations. It's a precondition. Restore the unconstitutional impoundment of legally mandated spending or gtfo.
