I don't think the locale was properly fleshed out in THE FACLON & THE WINTER SOLDIER, but they got some of the club/bar stuff right...wished the biker gang had a bigger role.

Spider is a more compelling character than Jake Sully, just how I see it. I don't know what it is about Sam Worthington, but between his weak American accent and wonky performance, it's hard not to get excited when anyone else is on screen in those AVATAR films.

I will also say, the other big recent design change for the better was the new version of the GHOST costume in #Thunderbolts #TheNewAvengers.
I like her glitchy phasing power-set (not sure what it means for Shadowcat) a lot, and I can't wait to see more of her, too.

I'm sort of in awe of the character design and surfboard VFX shots for SILVER SURFER in #TheFantasticFourFirstSteps. It's maybe my favorite melding of the Marvel visual development group and the VFX team, I really hope we see a lot more of Shalla-Bal in the MCU.

Movies like REBEL RIDGE, THE KILLER, TRIPLE FRONTIER, and others are good enough to warrant the effort of home release, even if someone else actually handles that work that Netflix obviously can't be bothered to do. Super bizarre to me.

I mostly agree with all sides concerning these live-action remakes. My biggest issue is how Disney actively screws over original creators and animators by essentially copying their work so they don't have to on the remakes. Basically, got tired of paying for R&D for originals or new IP like JC.

SNOW WHITE didn't click with audiences because it was like the third or fourth live-action version (SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN and MIRROR MIRROR weren't that long ago). If you're going to remake something, don't do an IP people have done to death. Also, make better movies.

#Sinners crossing $300M at the box office is a clear indication audiences still want creator-driven originals, not just IP or endless remakes/sequels/reboots. WBD firing De Luca and Abdy "rumors" now feel like a bad joke or wishful gossip.

Jack Black is arguably one of the most famous/recognizable Hollywood blockbuster actors, kind of insane given he was never at this level of popularity, like 10-20 years ago. Then again, kids and 20-somethings never knew an era without him being everywhere.

KUNG FURY 2 sizzle reel "leaking" just before the Cannes Film Market is a little fishy. Hope that movie sees the light of day, but given all the bts and money issues going on, still not sold this movie that wrapped back in 2020 is ever getting released. I could be wrong...

The one thing I'm curious about is the cosmic footprint of the MCU...in the comics, Wakanda starts expanding to outer space, establishing relations and developing new worlds with the help of aliens. If we're not getting GUARDIANS 4...they should do that.
