I see this a lot in book clubs. People will post a book they've just bought or want to buy and ask if they should read it. Stuff like that is entirely subjective, and you should not base whether or not you're going to consume said media based on the opinions of others.

I feel like the older we get, the harder it is to make new friends. Especially if you, like me, yearn for a few close friends but have a super short social battery and tend to be quite introverted. It's a vicious cycle.

Prepare for some magic. If you want a suggestion for which to play first, my vote goes for FF9. It's my favorite game of all time. So much so that I even got Vivi tattooed on my forearm.

I've never played it, but the "smell of a YMCA" makes me think of humid public pool changing rooms that stink of piss and chlorine😄

Not the most pleasant of smell combinations

I'm within the last 50 pages of Strange & Norrell. What a phenomenal read it has been.

Ugh. It's been so long since I've had chicken wings. Those look damn good.

I actually bring my tablet to work so I can read it on my lunch breaks. I think Clark is secretly a magician herself and put some sort of enchantment on the book😄

While I have around 100 pages left before actually finishing, Susanna Clark's Johnathan Strange & Mr. Norrell has been my favorite read this year.

This is why I don't like Souls type games in general. Maybe it's just because I'm getting older and more grumpy. They're an exercise in frustration until you"git gud". Fuck that. I play games to relax and escape. Not get frustrated.

Check out the book Pilgrim by Mitchell Lüthi. It's labeled as a "medieval horror" tale. It can be a little dense with the various religious mythologies it weaves through the story, but it didn't dampen my enjoyment one bit. It has some pretty intense moments.

My thoughts exactly. But unfortunately, it seems like it's devolved into a "Keeping up with the Joneses" kind of situation with some people.

I feel like, for some people, it's akin to a popularity contest. Somehow, reading a ton of books somehow makes them feel far superior to those who don't have the time to read more. It really means nothing.
