It would be hard to find a job (which is visa) but that’s western admin as well as Chinese. Visa process then probably hard.

There are a few trans celebrities but my perception is that they don’t talk about being trans much which I think a lot of westerners would feel is oppressive. In general queerness is a sort of “don’t ask, don’t tell” but it’s a very personal thing and in my observation, more of a cultural difference

I work for a company with Christian roots, that won’t let employees dye their hair unnatural colors and asks us to cover tattoos, but has gone all-in on ai. It’s because they want to eliminate most jobs and have the rest focused on one task that can’t be done by ai.

I would need an e-bike for sure, though I am considering anyway. But that necessity, a regular ayi (if I can find one!), buying a dishwasher (unlikely because kitchens are small.) would make the cost higher over time.

Other apartments do save some moving costs but rent is comparable especially when you add similar benefits. The ones I like most are too far from everything but close to the new job location for 1.5 years from now. Afraid if I take it, I won’t stay or won’t open.

If I eat a month or so rent, as in, not be reimbursed for it, I could do one of the ones I looked at yesterday. There’s one I’m very fond of, and a second that’s very cheap and would let me furnish with “leftover” rent money.

So, anyway, I’m awake at 3 am because of my ongoing anxiety attacks due to the situation.
