Wow. I couldn’t even get through the whole video—the examples of how much more likely people are to die if hit by an SUV than a car were so shocking I had to stop. I checked other sources, and noticed safety reviews talk only about how the occupants of a car will fare in a crash, not anyone it hits.

I see what you mean; I just meant that noticing the similarity of the figures’ physical placement in both images was funny—I didn’t expect anyone to bring up William Hogarth in this context. It works better if you don’t notice the bullets, and have forgotten the actual story of “Marriage à la Mode.”

Trump claimed his false social-media posts about E. Jean Carroll were official acts, and so the DOJ should pay the $83 million judgement against him. (He failed to persuade the court, but he could try again in this new case.)

? It doesn’t separate the subject from the verb: “she lives here; she has this.” the subject is implied, so a comma can be used. I don’t have my Chicago Manual with me, but I believe this covers what I mean: www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/qanda/data/f...

But does she live with her two daughters? They might be adults. I think the comma after Oxford is there because of the implied subject: “she lives with her husband, and she has two daughters.”
