Does anyone truly believe that schools have been given too many employees and we can cut staff to save money? Does anyone think class sizes are too small and it’s best practice to pool kids together to make even bigger classes? Why don’t we prioritize children and education in this country?

I live in a very liberal city, so it came as no surprise yesterday to see retirees on the corner of a major intersection with signs that read “Stop the Coup” and “Stop Musk.” They were getting lots of honks from passing cars.

It’s heartbreaking as a public school teacher to have students distraught about the possibility of ICE agents trying to get into the building. Republicans seem fine with terrorizing children.
