In 2020, my favorite childhood radio station shut down. I listened to its last night on air, on live stream. The final song before abruptly going dark and becoming a religious station? “Black Sabbath.”
It was jarring. It is what it feels like to lose tiktok. Media can be such a source of comfort.

Our bodies should really invent a new way to expel foreign viral invaders. This whole laying in bed being useless thing is really not my vibe.

Let’s all normalize the end of the year being a time to choose to rest and reflect rather than to speed up and hustle harder. We have all earned self care at this point of the year.

The thing I am most excited about if I ever actually escape apartment living is not having to smell other people’s cooking smells, glade plugins, and cigarette smoke.

Sometimes, when I’m really missing her, I lay on the floor in the sunny spot where my chihuahua used to hang out just to feel close to her.

That said: Southern California 49 degrees is such a different kind of cold than New England 49 degrees. Probably because we have no insulation on buildings here.

Apparently the town he lives in threw him a celebration for his 93rd birthday and people came dressed as all of the quirky characters from his books and did a car parade. I love that so much.
