Regardless, I'd still like to get a flip phone, become a Luddite, and purge modern technology from my life. 😆

Not long after my de-Googling post I lost my backup phone at work and was able to locate it by using the Find My Device feature. If I hadn't been signed into my Google account on that phone I probably never would have found it. I just can't win against the conveniences of Big Tech.... *sigh*

I started de-Googling my life last December. I use Brave and Firefox with modified privacy settings per privacyguides.org and I don't have a Google account on my phone. I'm not an expert of course so I'm not sure how well this stuff actually works. My ultimate goal is to switch from Google entirely.

I've been learning web development on The Odin Project for 2 weeks now. But, I feel like I'm not making as much progress as I need to be. As I think I should be. Yet, I'm still making progress. Today I finished the intro to CSS assignments. Perhaps I'm plodding because this is not my first rodeo...

I've been in a reading slump since mid-January. I started the year off well but haven't read a single book since. I was reading in the horror genre and then thought to switch to non-fiction.... But I couldn't seem to get into anything. Might as well go back to horror.

Nevermind. I switched to dark theme and set text size to large. It's very exciting here now.

X-Twitter is a shit show but Blue Sky feels... weird. Boring? Depressing? Lacks character? I can't seem to put my finger on it.

My son is afraid a hummingbird might rip through his body at 9000mph. Can any professionals on here tell him he is stupid and full of shit

All of the entomological accounts I was following on X-Twitter moved to Blue Sky so here I am, logging in for the first time in over a year.
