Best scoreboard overlays I’ve seen are for the DP European Tour (golf) broadcasts. Easy to read, good contrast ratio of white text against dark blue and depending on the event will tell you when someone’s score moved up X places. It also helps that their broadcasts aren’t covered in ads.
