It’s pub day for my friend Melanie’s debut picture book with Harper! 🥳 It is such a special feeling to hold this book after reading it in the manuscript stage—it gave me goosebumps then & it fills me with joy now. Melanie isn’t on Bluesky (yet), but I hope you check out MARTINA’S MUY BAD DAY!

Our cat’s name is Smoothie, named for her smooth fur by my then-4-year-old. Just found out my now-8-year-old’s friend keeps accidentally calling her Milkshake. 🥹
