TikTok makes a lot of money and Trump wants to own at least 50% of it so he (and his other billionaire friends) can also have a piece of it. They also want to have control over what is on it but the money is the main pull.

It’s all a game. I’m sure part of any deal had to include the appearance of Trump being the one to save the day, even though he is the one that started this in 2020.

In 90 days, it will be in the same position it is in today. Congress will have to amend the law they enacted for it to stay without them divesting.
