Be courageous: The Barbara Rose Johns statue by artist Steven Weitzman was unveiled in Emancipation Hall at the U.S. Capitol. April 23, 1951 she rallied classmates to protest the poor conditions in segregated schools. The walkout helped end school segregation in America.

Courage: It's what it takes to make real change. Sure, it takes courage to show up to protest. But will you show up at the ballot box? Do you have the courage to talk with your friends and neighbors who are apathetic or think, "My vote doesn't make a difference?" Be courageous.

Texas's system of vouchers steals resources from school districts already struggling to keep up with inflation. I will fight to keep Texas education dollars in Texas public schools rather than being sent to private schools who may not even be in Texas.

New measles cases in Connecticut and South Carolina, due to an unvaccinated child traveling internationally. USA is near to loosing its status as a country where the disease is eliminated, thanks to HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. policies.
