Robert, I am a preschool teacher in the Greater Denver Metro area. We have a LARGE immigrant population, mainly Latinx.
Earlier this week, I woke gasping from a nightmare. I was in my classroom, and opened the door to a knock to find 3 armed ICE officers ready to barge in.
That's my reality.

Trust me, I know. I live in the Denver Metro area, where we have a large Latinx population. I've been learning Spanish just because so many of my students don't know a lot of English. We've already had memos from admin on how to handle it if ICE shows up.

While I'm not saying the new administration is NOT trying to terrify immigrants, ICE raiding an elementary school is NOT WHAT HAPPENED.
