Was introduced to AI that can instantly translate a speaker's voice into over 140 languages with near perfect translation in grammar and colloquialisms while maintaining the speaker's style.

How cool is that?

After some absence I am back

Snow day today and it was great

Had a great discussion about the state of soccer in the United States

The best part about working at the D3 level is having everything happening every day to then go 34 days without any home games to everything happening every day again

It's wonderful 🙃

Tell me why I'm enjoying a peaceful evening looking out a massive window area (facade?) towards a beautiful night sky and there's just a banana laffy taffy that's been sunbleached just sitting on the ledge right outside the window

How did it get there?

Finally able to relax, here's how my day looked

9:23am: Wake up on an air mattress that has a leak somewhere

9:24am: See a text asking me if I can call a basketball game, there was an opening last minute

*write game notes*

1:16pm: Get to the arena in less than optimal weather

Finally had some time to play EA FC25 and..... boom

On this day 42 years ago, the only time the AP #1 lost to a non-D1 team. Chaminade's win over Virginia led to the creation of the Maui Invitational

Even better when I'm watching tape to make improvements and only realize it then

Taking every opportunity that is available to you is so important

Broadcasting stand alone D3 games in the dead of December is actually one of the most rewarding things out there.

Just pure fun and living up to the Discover, Develop, Dedicate motto

SMU (11-2) makes the CFP. Alabama is left out

Arizona State jumps Clemson to get a bye

Boise State is likely going to the Sugar Bowl. BCS sins were absolved today as Boise State finally get their chance to play for a national championship

Shooting a basketball is just throwing it in a very specific way. If my way of throwing it and your way of throwing it both make it go in the net, then what's the problem that my form looks weird? Yk?

BYU win 30-18

The Big 12 title game is set. Arizona State vs. Iowa State next Saturday

ASU has not outright won a title since 1996 and will try to win the B12 in their first year as members

ISU have never outright won a title and last won a conference title in 1912 when they shared with Nebraska
December 1, 2024 at 6:55 AM
Iowa State beats Kansas State 29-21

First 10 win season in program history (133rd season)

Now await the result of BYU against Houston. Currently 14-10 BYU leading with 7:55 left in the half

There's bias within college football. There just is.

However, it is wrong to use that bias to punish teams in one competitive conference and play damage control for another conference

The only teams to me that are seeded right are the top 6 in CFP ranking rn. Beyond that, needs to be reorganized
November 30, 2024 at 7:28 AM
This is what I see for the Big 12 standings and title game hopes

Arizona State need to win and hope BYU or Kansas or Cincinnati win

Iowa State need to win and have BYU or West Virginia win

BYU need to win and have ISU or ASU lose

Colorado need significant help

Hell breaks loose if top 3 lose

This might be the best graphic I've ever seen

3rd tier > 2nd tier
Serie B > Serie A
Apparently

Watching Iowa State play in the Maui Invitational

The game clock on the screen keeps flashing

Guess not even the big D1 productions can get their picture in picture to work. It's not just us

Christmas came early for the broadcasting people

Brand new 8 channel mixer for the department 😳

Being leaders at the Division III level is awesome

The odd thing about being young and ahead of a few curves is that I'm given the ability to do informal consulting with limited questions about said advice

When did this start?

A nation that had won just one match ever and it was a friendly in 2004 just won 2 of their Nations League group matches to not only go up a group but to make national history

The spirit of the game is a magical thing and today, San Marino have won the magic

Been seeing some attention around small school athletics social media

Before you cast judgement, just know that all those accounts are run by one person and they probably have a know-it-all college kid in their ear with ideas of varying quality
November 17, 2024 at 6:23 AM
And this is why I want to do sports broadcasting/media as a career. Get here and see 3 touchdowns, a missed PAT that would've tied it, and a last minute drive end on the 3 yard line with an INT on what would've been the game winning TD.

I envy the people who got to call that
