we’ve been listening to mayday since we were teens so seeing them live is very special to us. they did an eras tour style set, starting with their first EP and playing songs off every release chronologically which was insanely cool. here’s me absolutely screaming my lungs out to “i’d hate to be you”

my third time seeing microwave and my partner gabi’s fourth time! they’re one of their favourite bands, so my favourite part of seeing them live is just watching gabi have a good time. they killed it and they also have the cutest stage decor

second time seeing grayscale! they are such good performers and i love watching them play. i haven’t listened much to their new album yet but the new songs were still really fun to hear live and i’m happy they also played some stuff i knew. “fever dream” went so hard

this was supposed to be my third time seeing Like Roses, but the first two times i had to miss their set because i was working late. so happy to have finally caught them. they are so fucking good. was also thrilled to pick up their EP “closure” on CD at the merch table, i seriously adore that EP

spiritbox fucking slayed, obviously. they played a bunch of their new album (which i love) and plenty of other bangers too. this set absolutely flew by. also featured a heartfelt speech from Mike honouring the memory of the late Bill Crook, former bassist in spiritbox and other vancouver bands. RIP.

i’m so happy we finally got to see loathe!!!! 3 years ago we were supposed to see them open for code orange but they couldn’t get into the country. we were so devastated and we’ve been so eager to see them since. they did not disappoint! they played “is it really you,” my favourite song of theirs!

our third time seeing dying wish! i definitely expended the majority of my energy during this set, how could i not go hard for them. i was not expecting them to play my favourite song off their latest album (“prey for me”) but they did! they were so good, already can’t wait to see them again

seeing a small emo band from vancouver island open for a band as huge as spiritbox was insane lol. i’m so happy that poor sport got this opportunity, i love their music and they performed so well. it makes me happy that spiritbox made the effort to honour their hometown scene by having them on
