Just Be. Flute meditation from a really cool converted barn in Iowa with Buddhist wisdom on self care from Thich Nhat Hanh. You don’t have to be doing something all the time. It’s okay to “just be”. If we don’t take that time, life often has a way of forcing us to. #spirituality #buddhism #selfcare

When I created this video for a project on Simpson Housing a few years ago, I had no idea things would get this bad, but here we are. Allowing SNAP recipients to go hungry, rounding up people based on race with no due process, and bullying trans kids are incompatible with the teachings of the Bible.

On Indigenous Peoples Day, I honor those who cared for this land first. I’m mindful every day that this instrument I play comes from indigenous people. It’s been a huge part of my journey as a person who uses music to heal, and as a person who found healing when I needed it from this instrument.
